TAD Announces New Cinema Series Speaker Systems

Technical Audio Devices (TAD), a division of Pioneer Corporation (NYSE: PIO), today announced it will be introducing a new Cinema Series speaker systems designed to create the next generation in cinema sound. The new cinema systems utilize TAD professional speaker components based on a cinema system design created at Skywalker Sound, a division of Lucas Digital Ltd, LLC, a state of the art audio post production company located in Marin County, California.

The new TAD Cinema Series speaker systems, which will be debuted at the 109th Audio Engineering Society show (booth #735) in Los Angeles, includes a quad 15 inch 3-way system (TSC-3415) and a single 18 inch subwoofer (TSC-1118SW). The TSC-3415 3-way system utilizes four TAD TL-1603 low frequency loudspeakers and two TAD TD-4002Z compression drivers for the mid and high frequencies. Its low frequency cabinet is designed to accept up to 4 separate inputs from amplifiers, allowing system engineers and integrators to effectively steer sound for the desired coverage pattern. The TSC-1118SW subwoofer system utilizes a single TL-1801 18" subwoofer designed to be used in multiples and tuned to below 25Hz.
